Storage environment
It should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated, and dry warehouse, away from heat sources, open flames, and direct sunlight. The warehouse temperature is recommended to be kept below 25℃ to prevent the evaporation of materials and the formation of flammable vapors.
The warehouse must be equipped with explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities, and the use of machinery and tools that easily generate sparks is prohibited.
Container and Partition Management
Use sealed galvanized iron drums or plastic drums for containment; before storage, check that the containers are intact. After filling, tightly screw on the drum lids and place an additional leak-proof tray outside the drums.
Store chemicals in designated zones, keeping them separate from oxidizers, strong acids, strong bases, reducing agents, and other such chemicals to prevent accidental mixing and subsequent chemical reactions. Also, keep them away from food, beverages, feed, and other similar items to avoid cross-contamination.
Label and Ledger Management
The exterior of the container must be clearly labeled with hazard symbols for hazardous chemicals, including warnings such as “Flammable Liquid” and “Keep Away from Sources of Ignition.” Additionally, the label should specify the name of the material, its hazards, and emergency contact information.
Establish a storage ledger to record the quantities of items entering and leaving the warehouse, their storage locations, and expiration dates. Conduct regular inventory checks to prevent items from being stored beyond their expiration dates.
